Music is a universal language. One that mythically transcends most national and societal boundaries normally unbroken on planet Earth. If you want a beautiful, polarizing example of this concept, look no further than award-winning, Cameroonian emcee, Vocaliz, and his eclectic 12-track opus, “Afrikan in New York”. “Afrikan in New York” is in all ways Vocaliz’s “break-out” album; his solo debut apart from Ghanian producer, Afana. It is an evolution on the artist’s signature sound: marrying African sonics with Urban inflections. The record kicks off with a title track that features rhythmic, tropical marimbas, backed by a scorching clap and thunderous 808s. One thing Vocaliz makes certain on this track is that his national pride will never die; setting the tone of African conceptuality and confidence for the rest of the album. This similar sentiment is echoed on a personal favorite, “Oh Na Na” a reggae-esque anthem whose main beat-break is a loop of organic, hip-hop drums. It is in these moments on the album where his Brooklyn basis shines. Tracks such as “At the Speed of Love” (another favorite), “May Be”, and “We Up” (another favorite) have a pristine, Golden Era hip-hop tonality to them; while the tracks succeeding them are much more modern and “trap” in expression.

As the only rapper on the entire album, Vocaliz phenomenally brings something new and refreshing to each and every beat he spits on. Whether its afrobeat, reggae, boom-bap or trap, this Cameroon-born, Brooklyn-based emcee attacks the music wholeheartedly; able to bend and maneuver his accent to suit and emphasize some already remarkable bars. When it comes to his sound, Vocaliz proves on this astounding debut that he has conquered it; and the universal language of music is yet another one he’s doubtlessly mastered. Vocaliz his recent shared his journey with TheDopeness interview series. Enjoy “Afrikan in New York” and join Vocaliz's growing movement today!

"Some music critics as claim rapper Cassidy hasn't been somehow off the music scene for a while now although he's been dropping a couple of freestyles which he usually gains positive response from his fans. Some say when was the last time u heard a Cassidy hit at a party or on the radio since he released his hit single my drink and my two step a decade ago. Yes it's been a decade since Cassidy released a hit.

There’s no telling where life can take you. Born in Nigeria and raised in the French Province, Republic of Benin in West Africa, international pop visionary TYSU has been on a path of artistic enlightenment from a young age. At the age of 14, he began performing with his school, reciting tunes in both English and French. By the time he finished high school, he was firmly entrenched in the world of the performing arts and ready to take his career to the next level.

TYSU crossed the Atlantic and landed himself in New Jersey for 14 years. After taking advantage of every opportunity here on the east coast, he took the last evolutionary step to unlocking his true potential: moving to the City of Angels. For the last three years, TYSU has been applying all the hard-knock lessons he’s learned and turning them into undeniable, career-defining hits.

Inspired by the vast geographical landscape of the west coast, “Valley Girl” is a dance-hall smash that honors TYSU’s global influences. Featuring fusion rhythms often found in South America and even a lyric in Spanish, “Valley Girl” has the unassailable power to bring the world to its feet. In conjunction with “Valley Girl”, TYSU’s vociferous lust for creation has produced another banger on the other side of the musical spectrum, “1, 2, 3 Time.” This second single details a retrospective look at the beauty of a blossoming relationship. Unlike the contemporary nature of “Valley Girl”, “1, 2, 3 Time” takes influence from the early 20th century. The range of sounds found in just these two tracks certainly speaks volumes for his versatility, but no matter what style he’s working in, TYSU will always keep the dance-floor moving.

Not only did moving to Los Angeles inspire and enlighten the creative juices within TYSU, it also connected him with other talented artists looking to collaborate. One of those artists is film expert Nima Javadi.   Javadi shot both music videos, which are visually as diverse as the songs themselves. While the bright hues of “Valley Girl” showcase dancing in the sun-kissed desert blanketed by a baby blue sky, “1, 2, 3 Time” is a black and white classic, reminiscent of New York City in the roaring 20s.

TYSU is a passionate and tenacious artist, bringing you two stunning, must see music videos.

Lagos, Nigeria artist, Kaydez delivers an international African pop hit! From the minute "Wine 4 Me" by Kaydez featuring Krizbeatz comes on, it makes you want to move your hips. The production from Krizbeats gives you that soothing island feel and has you wishing you were on the beach with a nice, cold refreshing beverage.

"Wine 4 Me" is a fun, party anthem that is specifically designed for the dance floor. This is a party starter!!! I could see "Wine 4 Me" being a major hit in clubs and at parties if it isn't already. The video is in perfect tune with the song as the visuals vividly show off brilliant scenes from the hotel, beach, and a lit party scene by the pool. The song is intriguing in making you want to see what 2018 has in store from the KH Records artist, Kaydex.

Here's my advice homie. Cater to you girl or someone else will. Treat her like the queen that she is. Tell her how beautiful she is everyday. Be spontaneous. Shower her with gifts. Sex her right and often. That is also the premise of X-Shai's new hiphop love song "Tell Me". He goes all the way for that special girl, as far as to take a bullet for her if needed. X-Shai rides over strong piano keys and interesting percussions sounds. The hook has a international pop feel to it. X-Shai says, "Tell Me"is like telling your lady, you got her, no matter what happens, you will always be there for her, and do everything right for her". "Tell Me" is currently going viral all  over the internet so grab it today on iTunes below!

Im Alternative Artist X-Shai represent West Africa Ghana, Boogie down Bronx, and East Atlanta. My inspiration to succeed in the music industry is my daughter and family. I started recording immediately after a much needed visit to Ghana. Music is my top priority and often times interferes with me eating and sleeping. Music is my existence. I am purposed to write music that helps individuals to face a very common reality about life to include subjects on work, love, art, aspirations, distress or spirituality. I am doing whatever it takes to grow my own fan base, I am dedicated to the fans that I currently have and I am continuously in touch with them on Social Media. Their feedback is positive and helps me to stay focused on what I am doing and is a constant reminder of why I am doing it. The time is now. I can’t stop now and I am won’t stop now. I am ready to leave a mark in music history that can never be erased.

Meanwhile 2016 wasn't bad for the rapper as he been working hard for a comeback. In January 2017 he released a Mixtape, Da Barbarian and had great response of the global hip hop lovers and media as well.

You can tell rapper isn't playing this year as he follows up with another motivational banger, with upcoming Memphis duo MC Dementor and DJ Decordha. ZeroReasonsToFail, which is the title of the song became viral on YouTube with 550 k plays only in two weeks after release due to the motivational message behind the song.. The song tells how one must not give up but push till he reaches the top. Can Cassidy make it to billboard hot 100 again with this single.. Well let's wait and see if indeed he has zero reasons to fail."
