RIV SOSA STAYS DOWN FOR THE SQUAD WITH NEW TRAP ANTHEM “GANG AWAY”
26 JulyUSA Blog Network
There’s a point where Heaven meets Hell, and they merge. Where everything Good and everything Bad finds a center-point; and they converge upon that moment to create the unprecedented. Maryland rapper, Riv Sosa, knows all too well this dynamic; and his recent release, “Gang Away” is an embodiment of that unprecedented happenstance. His CA$H COUNTY brethren have been recently indicted on federal charges, thus the Hell of street life is weighing heavily on the artist. And the only way to express his pain is through the most Heavenly melodies you’ll hear all week. “Gang Away” begins with an orchestration of spiritual synths; vibrant and ethereal. These instruments are complimented by a bouncy, trap beat that empower the instrumental with a flurry of snares, hats and kicks. Then, riding a cloud of autotune, Riv Sosa makes a shining impact on the mix. “F*** 12, man, they done took the gang away—“ he grieves on the track, pouring out every bit of the soul he has left, following this painful experience. In many ways, “Gang Away” is an anthem and ode to his CA$H COUNTY brethren; and if ever they rise out of this unfortunate predicament, Riv Sosa’s latest release will rise them straight to the top.
