Omega McBride

I come from a family of service and helping others. Naturally, I use the strength and humility that derives from that upbringing as a platform to build everything that I invest time and attention into. Always being willing to lend a helping hand or an ear for advice, I have often been in a place where wonderful doors of opportunity have opened, such as: being in the studio for a live recording with the legendary David Hollister of Blackstreet, meeting and forming a relationship with native Chicago actor Harry Lennix, traveling to Canadian Mennonite University to host music mentoring workshops and perform, being a Hip-Hop/Poetry Instructor and Classroom Facilitator in Chicago Public Schools, acting in an Independent Film, and writing music for the soundtrack of another. These open doors have created connections and experiences which have filled the stanzas of my song.
